Police donates about Rs 94 lakh in CM's relief fund
Patna, Nov 22 (UNI) Bihar policemen today donated over Rs 93 lakh to the Chief Ministers relief fund.
The DGP handed over the cheque of Rs 93,98,307 to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
The DGP said the police superintendents of different districts had already donated relief materials worth Rs 3,43,603 for flood victims.
After receiving the cheque, Mr Kumar told newspersons the government had released Rs 1300 crore for carrying out flood relief works.
He said the government had taken the flood fury as a ''challenge'' and had submitted a plan worth Rs 11000 crore for uplinking of rivers and to construct the roads and bridges damaged in the floods.
