Mahant in Ayodhya receives threat letter from Al-Qaeda

Ayodhya Nov 22: The security agencies have been put on alert following a threat letter from terrorist outfit Al-Qaeda to Mahant Nritya Gopaldas, a Ram temple movement functionary.

The letter with a postal stamp of Haridwar in Uttarakhand was received by the Mahant here this morning.

''Accept Islam along with your disciples or face death,'' the letter said.

Security of the Mahant has been strengthened and investigation is launched, police said.
