Ranchi, Nov 22 (UNI) The seventh foundation day function of Jharkhand Assembly today was marked by many hiccups, mainly breaking of protocol.
As the anchor invited the dignitaries to the DGP V D Ram's name was called first followed by a senior IAS officer A K Singh, both selected the best officers of the year in their respective field.
As BJP's Pashupati Nath Singh, chosen as the best legislator of the year, was invited to the dias, murmer became louder in protest against the announcement.
Mr C P Singh (BJP), from the audience, openly expressed his displeasure at breaking of the protocol saying why the senior legislator, also a former minister, was called after the officers.
The anchor immediately apolgised for the mistake.
When, Mr A K Singh rose to speak, he addressed the present legistors of the Assembly as that of Bihar Assembly, causing inconvenience to the dignitaries present.
Mr Singh who was posted as member of revenue board in the latest bureaucratic reshuffle was at present facing corruption charges and had spent nearly a month in Bihar's Beur jail on charges of cheating and misuse of official position in 2003.
