Solan, Nov 22 (UNI) The Nalagarh sub divisional electoral officer has ordered an inquiry into the bogus voter enrollment in Doon assembly constituency following complaints by the BJP.

Following complaints by the BJP on the enrollment of bogus voters, an inquiry has been ordered, Nalagarh SDM cum sub-divisional electoral officer Manmohan Sharma told UNI here.

He said about 200 to 250 bogus voters were likely in the constituency, which goes to the polls in the second phase of elections on December 19, while polling to the three tribal constituencies of Kinnuar, Lahaul Spiti and Bharmaur had been held on November 14.

Raising the issue, the BJP said over 1,800 bogus voters have again been enrolled in the constituency after it succeeded in getting 5,000 votes deleted a few months ago.

While the BJP alleged that bogus voters were being enrolled in the Doon Constituency, the Congress says the BJP was only raising the issue to get names of genuine Congress workers deleted from the electoral rolls.
