Haryana pavilion attracts export queries

Chandigarh, Nov 22 (UNI) The Haryana Pavilion in the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at New Delhi has so far received 8,182 domestic and 14 international export trade enquiries worth about Rs 12.33 crore.

Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that most of the queries were related to the areas of agro industries, automobile parts, non conventional source of energy, electrical components, cement industry products, solar energy based appliances and food processing.

He said that export related enquiries were received from countries like Brazil, Kenya, Poland, Abu Dhabi, Kazakhistan, Panama, Afghanistan, Bangkok, Costa Rica, UAE, Columbia and Dubai.

Around 90 exhibits have put up their stall at the pavilion.

The spokesman said that all possible measures had been taken to bring various advanced industries, small enterprenuers and also the artisans of the state under one roof and provide a common platform to showcase their products.

The other main attractions at the Haryana Pavilion are the traditional Haryanavi sweets such as 'Jaleb' of Gohana, 'Peda' of Hansi, 'Rewri' and 'Ghachak' of Rohtak and other processed foods such as dehydrated vegetables and fruits, bajra biscuits and many other food products, he said.
