Four robbers, receiver of stolen property held

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) The North district police claims to have arrested four robbers and a receiver of stolen property and has foiled a robbery which was being planned by the accused to be committed in a uniform shop at Nangia Park in Shastri Nagar.

Two homemade pistols, four live cartridges, a knife, a cutter and 30 stolen bundles of woollen shawls were also recovered from their possession.

The police arrested them after they received a tip that the robbers had assembled inside Roshanara Club Park and were planning to commit robbery in a uniform park.

The five were identified as -- Joginder Singh, Sarabjeet Singh, Ram Ashish, Dharam Pal and Zulfikar -- while Ramesh Kumar managed to flee.

A case against the accused five has been registered and further investigations are on.
