Four people, including three of a family, drowned

Bangalore, Nov 22 (UNI) Four people, including three from the same family, were drowned in Kogile pond near Devanahalli, about 35 km from here last evening.

Police said today that, nine year old Sunni who was playing while her mother was washing cloths, fell into the water the mother Munni (33) went for her rescue also drowned. Her husband Rafiq (40) who went to save the mother and the child was struck in the silt and died. Hearing the commotion, Sharada (23), who was nearby, tried to rescue them but she too met the watery grave.
