Excise police busts illicit liquor manufacturing unit

Puducherry, Nov 22 (UNI) Puducherry Excise police today seized a van, which was being used to manufacture illicit liquor.

According to sources here, the seizure was made following information that an omni van was parked at the Reddiyar street in Irulanchanthai for the last two days.

An Excise team led by Deputy Collector Anbazhagan rushed to the spot and found the van locked.

They broke open the door and found corks, labels, empty bottles and a machine and spirit.

The van was seized and investigation was on, they added.
