Education dept instructs to file case against former VC

Mysore, Nov 22 (UNI) Principal Secretary ( Higher Education) U B Ulavi has written a letter to University of Mysore to file a police case against the irregularities and misappropriation of funds during the tenure of former Vice Chancellor.

The copy of the letter was made available to the media by the Registrar (Evaluation) A B Ibraim.

He had filed a complaint with the government on the various irregularities and misuse of funds by former Vice Chancellor of the University.

In the letter, Principal Secretary has mentioned details of the irregularities, which occurred during the tenure of the Vice Chancellor including regularisation of 151 daily wages employees.

The Principal Secretary has asked both the Registrar and Registrar (Evaluation) to file a police case and asked them to submit a preliminary report to the government before November 25.
