CM inagurates STP in AP capital

Hyderabad, Nov 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today inaugurated a 'Sewage Treatment Plant'(STP), constructed by Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA), at Durgam lake and laid the foundation stone for a four-lane flyover in the city.

The five million litres STP plant would treat up to tertiary level removing many impurities from the water and disinfect it. The total cost of the project was Rs 8.73 crore.

The 850 metre HITEC city flyover would cost the exchequer Rs 37.82 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Reddy said the government would set up 'Laka Protection Force' to curb encroachments.
