Chamarajanagar bandh evokes good response
Mysore, Nov 22 (UNI) The bandh, called by the district unit of Veershaiva Mahasabha and the BJP today in Chamarajanagar to protest against the withdrawal of support to the BJP-led Government in Karnataka, evoked good response.
All business and education establishments remained closed. The KSRTC and private bus services were suspended for the day.
Veerashaiva Mahasabha and the BJP took out separate processions in Chamarajnagar, condemning JD (S) President and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for the withdrawal of support.
The bandh was peaceful with elaborate security arrangenments.
