At least 40 passengers injured in train accident
West Midnapur, Nov 22 (UNI) At least 40 passengers of a train were injured following a collision with another at the Shyamchawk station in West Midnapur today.
According to official sources, the incident occurred when the special 'Bharatdarshan' was stranded at the station due to signal failure, and another train coming to Kharagpur from Howrah, rammed into it.
Two compartments of the train were derailed causing injury to the occupants.
All the injured were shifted immediately to a near by hospital, Kharagpur Divisional Railway Manager Ranjan Tiwary said.
