AI Express to expand operations to Gulf countries

New Delhi Nov 22 (UNI) The Air India Express will expand its operations to Gulf countries with effect from February next, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

In a written reply, Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel said Air India plans to operate flights from Kerala to Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Sharjah, Dubai, Doha and Bahrin and also from Ahmedabad and Goa to Dubai from February 2008.

The operations would be subject to the availability of aircraft and crew, the minister said, adding that Air India Express currently operates as many as 95 flights from India to Gulf countries.

They have recently commenced operations from Jaipur and Lucknow to Dubai, the minister added.
