2 drown in irrigation canal in AP

Mahaboob Nagar, Nov 22: Two persons drowned in an irrigation canal at Shagapuram Village in this district today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the duo were swimming in the canal.

Divers were pressed into service to look for the bodies.

The identity of the duo was not yet ascertained, police added.
