Two killed in separate accidents in HP

Solan, Nov 21 (UNI) Two workers were killed in two separate incidents in the industrial area of Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh today, police said.

Ram Narayan, 55, died on the spot after falling from the second storey of Birla Textile Mill at Sai Road in Baddi, about 10 km from here.

The police said the incident occurred at about 1000 hrs while he was carrying out repairs on the second floor of the building.

He was rushed to ESI Hospital where he was declared brought dead, it said, adding that he had recently been transferred here from Delhi.

The police said his body would be handed over to his relatives after post mortem examination.

A case has been registered and investigations are on.

In another incident in the industrial area, a 30-year-old worker died due to cardiac arrest, while taking a bath in his house at Malpur, near here.

The police said the dead has been identified as Virender Shala of Bihar and was an employee of the Block Hospital Nalagarh.
