Sudhakaran surrenders before Special Court
Chennai, Nov 21 (UNI) V N Sudhakaran, the erstwhile foster son of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today surrendered before a Special Court in drug trafficking cases.
Mr Sudhakaran was arrested by the police and remanded to judicial custody in 2001 for possesing huge quantity of heroin and was released on bail.
Due to his continuous absence from the trial, the Judge S J Muruganantham issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him.
Mr Sudhakaran had surrendered before the judge and filed a petition to recall the arrest warrant. The court ordered to recall the warrant and posted the case to December 13.
