Prices of onion and potato decline

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Prices of onion and potato declined to Rs 15 from Rs 17 and Rs 14 to Rs 13 per kg respectively in Delhi, while retail prices of other farm commodities remained steady in the week ended November 19.

''Prices of rice and gram increased from Rs 15 to Rs 16 and Rs 35 to Rs 36, while sugar prices increased from Rs 16.50 to Rs 17 at the Delhi centre,'' said an official statement.

Retail price of sugar remained steady across most of the centres over the week .

Prices of mustard oil hiked to to Rs 64 from Rs 62 in Delhi.

Prices of wheat at retail level remained steady at almost all the centres.

Prices of gram dal have generally remained steady across majority of the centres, except in Delhi, Shimla and Chennai where the prices saw an increase. It, however, decreased at the Ahmedabad and Bangalore centres.

Prices of tur dal declined at Jaipur, while increasing in Shimla.

The prices of tur at other centres remained steady.
