Pramod Navalkar cremated

Mumbai, Nov 21 (UNI) Mortal remains of senior Shiv Sena leader Pramod Navalkar, who died of heart attack yesterday, were consigned to flames at the Chandanwadi crematorium here.

Thousands of Shivsainiks, and leaders from various political parites paid tributes to the departed leader who was the member of both the houses for nearly 29 years.

Among those present at the funeral were Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, Sena MPs Manohar Joshi and Sanjay Raut, Leader of the Oppostion Ramdas Kadam, former Union minister Jayawantiben Mehta, MLA Raj Purohit, former MLA Atul Shan (BJP) and Congress corporator Gunavant Sheth Maharashtra Navnirman Sena president Raj Thackeray had also paid his tributes earlier.
