Pharmacist, stockist, arrested in medicine cheating case

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Police have busted a gang of cheats involved in stealing and selling medicines, and recovered stolen medicines worth Rs 25,000 from them.

The police today said Sarabjeet alias Shambu used to prepare fake requisition slips of Vimhans pharmacy and used to take medicines worth thousands and sell them at half the rate to different chemist stockist of Bhagirath Place, Chandni Chowk.

A police team was constitued to look into the complaint of a chemist in Gautam Nagar that a person had taken medicines worth several thousands from his shop by producing a requisition slip from Vimhans Pharmacy, Neb Sarai in South Delhi.

Police laid a trap on receiving information that Sarabjeet would again visit Olympic Pharma Care for cheating the owner and arrested him when he came to the shop.

Sarabjeet had worked for ten years as pharmacist and was well aware of the procedure of purchasing medicines from authorised shops for Vimhans. He had been arrested twice in the same kind of cheating case earlier.

Police also arrested one stockist of Radhey Medicos, and recovered medicines worth Rs 25,000 from his possession, which he took from Sarabjeet.
