Non inclusion of names creates tension in function

Puducherry, Nov 21 (UNI) Tension prevailed at the venue of a function to celebrate the 'World Fishermen Day" here as municipal councillors planned to gherao the Chief Minister for non-inclusion of names in the invitation.

The councillors decided to gherao the Chief Minister when he arrives as they were not invited to the function while the names of all the legislators from the coastal areas were printed in the invitation.

As the councillors were standing before the marriage hall where the function was to be held, Education Minister M O H F Shajahan came for the function and enquired with them.

Mr Shajahan pacified and arranged chairs for them in the stage.
