Navy Day celebrations to commence on Nov 24

Kochi, Nov 21: The Southern Naval Command (SNC) will celebrate Navy Day 2007 with a range of activities from November 24.

Speaking to newspersons here yesterday, State Naval officer-in-charge Commodore S K Jha said Naval band performances, football championship amd medical camps would be organised as part of the celebrations, which would conclude on December 8.

Medical officers along with para-medical staff of the Naval hospital INHS Sanjivani would hold medical camps at Kadmat, Amini and Kiltan on Lakshadweep islands, he said.

Aero modelling and helicopter flying displays would also be held at the naval air station here.
