National sr badminton circuit from Dec 8

Bangalore, Nov 21 (UNI) The national senior badminton circuit, under a new format, will begin in the city from December 8.

The event, sponsored by Canara Bank, would see almost all top shuttlers in the country in action.

Qualifying rounds would be held on December 8 and main draw matches would be held during the next four days, a Canara Bank release said here.

The tournament would be a selection trial to pick the Indian teams for Thomas and Uber Cups and European circuit.

The event would be held under the aegis of Karnataka Badminton Association and co-ordinated by Padukone Sports Management, the release added.
