Labourer stabbed to death by unkonwn assailants

Rajkot, Nov 21 (UNI) A 30-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by unknown assailants near the Old Collectorate office here today.

According to police, the deceased, identified as Munavar Taherali Vohra, was a casual labourer. He was found lying with stab wounds on stomach and neck near the old Collectorate office this morning. He was immediately removed to Civil Hospital, where doctor decelared him dead.

The deceased had a love marriage with one Kausar two years ago and they had eloped to Maharashtra. The girl's family members were against the marriage.

The girl's parents had then registered a complaint with the police about kidnapping of their daughter. Police had arrested Vohra two years ago from Maharashtra in this case.

But later, the couple was living separately in Bedinaka area.

Saifudin Taherali, the brother of deceased, lodged a police complaint against the girl's relatives and suspected that Ahmad Sandhi and his cousin, Asif Sandhi, were behind this brutal murder, police added.
