Kerala Cabinet approves Malabar Devaswom Ordinance

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 21 (UNI) The Kerala Cabinet today approved an ordinance to improve the functioning of temples in the Malabar region.

Briefing newspersons here, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said the Malabar Hindu Religious and Charitable Institutions Ordinance would be promulgated soon.

It was a long pending demand from various groups to ensure better governance of temples in north Kerala.
