KAL rolls out two vehicles into 3-wheeler market

Kochi, Nov 21 (UNI) To expand its footprint in Kerala, state-owned Kerala Automobile Limited (KAL) has launched two vehicles in the three-wheeler market segment.

Talking to newspersons here today, KAL Chairman Sheikh P Haaris said two vehicles -- Kerala 1000 pick-up van and Kerala Deluxe passenger autorickshaw-- would help the company to penetrate into the state's market.

''The company is expecting to sell around 300 vehicles a month through its dealers in the state,'' he noted.

Besides, LPG-driven vehicles, developed by the company, would be introduced in the market shortly, he said.

The PSU had a strong presence in northern states like Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana and was exporting its products to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Guatemala, Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa.
