Despite morning chill; warmer day for Delhiites

New Delhi, Nov 21 (UNI) Delhiites experienced a warmer day today with the mercury rising slightly to 11.5 degrees Celsius as against 10.2 degrees Celsius yesterday, while a light veil of fog continued to envelop the city.

The day started with the familiar chill in the air. But as the day progressed, the sky cleared and the sun showered its warmth on the people of the city.

The slump of the mercury had started from Saturday when it recorded 12.8 degrees Celsius, making the day coldest of the season till then.

The maximum during the day was recorded at 26.6 degrees, providing Delhiites a sigh of relief from the early morning chill, the weatherman said.

Visibility on the runways of the airports of the city continued to be affected while motorists also had a tough time driving in the morning.

Maximum humidity was 81 per cent and minimum 25 per cent.

Weatherman forecasts mist and haze in the morning with a mainly clear sky and no rainfall.
