CWC to increase storage capacity of warehouses

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 121 (UNI) The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) is planning to increase the storage capacity of its warehouses in Tamil Nadu, Corporation Chennai Regional Manager C T Thomas said.

The CWC would also establish new warehouses at Korukkupet (Chennai) and Cuddalore soon, he told newspersons yesterday.

The proposed warehouse Korukkupet to be set up at a cost of Rs 20 crore would have a storage capacity of 20,000 tonnes.

The corporation was also planning to expand its existing warehouses at Virudhunagar and Hosur, he added.
