Congress to continue people awareness programme: Kharge

Bangalore, Nov 21(UNI) Congress will continue its 'people awareness' programme throughout Karnataka in next fortnight against the 'anti people and anti democratic' stand of both Janata Dal (Secular) and Bharatiya Janata Party, Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Mallikarjun Kharge said today.

Talking to newsmen here, Mr Kharge termed the recent political developments leading to the fall of a week-long government of BJP led coalition government of B S Yeddyurappa as 'mockery of democracy' and both the parties had no moral courage to face the people.

Referring to the agreement proposed by JD(S) through stamp paper with BJP, he said such practice was unheard of in the country and it was a bad precedent in the political system. Leaders of both parties had exhibited their lust for power and went to the extent of airing differences over sharing of portfolios forgetting the interests of the people at large.

He cautioned the leaders of both parties not to blam the Congress because of their own failure to run the government.
