Conference on Emerging Opportunities in IT sector on Nov 24

Mysore, Nov 21 (UNI) The Raman International Institute of Information Technology (RIIIT), India's first IT finishing school, is organising a one-day Conference on the emerging opportunities in IT sector for the student community on November 24, School Business head Cathrine Suchitha said today.

Addressing a press conference here, she said that the main objective of the Conference was to educate students about the latest trends in the industry and emerging opportunities in the IT job market and to explore the hidden talent pool.

Eminent industry professionals would address the students about immense industry opportunities and show them way forward.

Karnataka IT, BT and Science and Technology Secretary M N Vidyashankar would inaugurate the Conference.

She said the India's first IT finishing school here has accredited with the University of Mysore and offering 12 month course by RIIIT, P G Diploma in software programming was aimed at producing post graduate who are trained up both in soft skills and technical skills.

Stating that it has been widely accepted by the industry as well as the masses. The school would address the manpower requirements of the IT industry and also cater to the employment training needs of tier II and tier II students in the country.

She said country has been producing nearly four lakh engineers every year, but only one in four was employable and to overcome growing unemployment among the engineer graduates and also the science graduates, the it finishing school has come up to meet the industry needs as well as the students to be placed in IT industry.
