2 children killed in road accident

Faizabad, Nov 21 (UNI) Two children were killed and another was grievously injured in a road accident under Inayatnagar area here this evening.

The children were crossing the road near Chamanganj market, when a speeding jeep hit them.

While, Ishu and Suman died on the spot, Anchal sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the district hospital.

The jeep driver fled leaving the vehicle behind. However, agitated locals set afire the jeep protesting the incident.

Later, district magistrate Anil Garg and SSP D P Tripathi reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
