Two vessels aground at Aalamkummpan coast

Puducherry, Nov 20: Two small vessels of a private boat manufacturing company here caught in strong wind and rain ran aground at Aalamkummpan coast near Marakkanam this morning.

According to police sources, the ships were heading to Visakhapatinam from here to bring construction materials.

Efforts were on to retrieve the vessels, sources added.

Intermittent heavy rain continued to lash Puducherry and its suburbs for the third day today, disrupting normal life.
