Religious fervour and devotion marked Panchkosi Parikrama

Ayodhya, Nov 20 (UNI) Large number of devotees took the holy dip in Saryu river and congregated at Jalpa marking the historic Panchkosi Parikrama in the holy city today.

High pitched chants of Lord Ram rent the air all along the Parikrama ritual.

This famous Parikrama follows the route, which is believed to have been taken by Lord Ram, when he returned from Lanka after attaining victory over demon king Ravana.

Meanwhile, Police Superintendent (city) Gopesh Nath Khanna today said tight security arrangements had been made for the event, which concluded peacefully.
