Nickel, tin, Copper utensils ease on weaker LME advice

Mumbai, Nov 20 (UNI) Prices of key metals like Nickel cathode, Tin slab, Copper heavy, aluminium ingots, lead and brass cuttings in ferrous and non ferrous metals today drifted lower on thin industrial users' demand in view of bearish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME) along with Kolkata, Delhi and other centres, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.

In the ferrous category (per quintal), Copper heavy and Copper utensils crashed by Rs 800 and Rs 300 respectively while brass utensils and brass cuttings eased by Rs 400 and rs 500 respectively owing to increase in offers by stock-holders because of subdued advice from LME along with Kolkata, Delhi and other centres.

In Non-ferrous category, Copper wire bar and aluminium prices drifted lower by Rs 500 and Rs 100 respectively while lead ingots eased by Rs 200 per quintal thin demand by big dealers .

Similarly. nickel cathode and tin slab prices too declined by Rs 30 and Rs 15 per kg respecstively on weaker advice from global markets and better offers by stockists.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals - Copper heavy: Rs 33,500, Copper utensils: Rs 31,000, Brass utensils: Rs 24,500, Brass cuttings: Rs 25,500 and Aluminium utensils: Rs 10,800.

Non-ferrous metals - Copper wire bars: Rs 37,000, Aluminium ingots: Rs 12,400, Zinc slab: Rs 14,000, Lead ingots: Rs 12,800, Tin slab: Rs 800 per kg and Nickel cathode: Rs 1,450 per kg.
