Munger, Nov 20 (UNI) Maoists blew up three-ft-long down rail track between Kiul and Bhaluai railway stations on the Kiul-Howrah main line under East Central Railway (ECR) early today.

Government Railway Police headquarters at Jamalpur told UNI that train-movement on the Patna-Kiul-Jhajha-Howrah rail sections remained paralysed following the incident.

The Railway authorities had repaired the damaged rail track and the movement of the trains on the down track had been restored, but it would take additional four hours to restore movement of the electric trains on the down track as the repair of the damaged overhead electric wire was on, said Officer-in- charge of the Chanan police station Anand Mishra.

Police also recovered a 20-mt-long electric wire from the spot.

The GRP and the local police had launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits, said SP (Rail) Bimal Kumar.
