Indian exile murder: Two held

Dubai, Nov 20: The 48-year-old Indian expatriate whose decomposed body was found lying in a villa in the Al Fayha area last Tuesday was killed by slitting throat with a sharp-edged weapon, the Sharjah police said.

The deceased, identified as Mohammed Saleem, was allegedly murdered by two Sri Lankans--30-year-old RD and 35-year-old JR.

On November 9, the duo slit Saleem's throat and stole 2,500 Dirham and a number of watches from the victim.

''During investigations, an eye-witness told us about having seen two men leaving the house of the victim on November 9 night. The same men again visited the deceased's house the following day and were seen leaving with some belongings,'' a newspaper quoted a police source as saying.

On the basis of the information received, the police arrested the duo who confessed their involvement in the crime.
