ITBP sources said here yesterday that the trek, which was flagged off on November 17, comprising two officers, eight subordinate officers and 23 jawans, would tour 37 villages under Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri and Kurung Kumey districts, covering 118 kms.
The security personnel would terminate the trek at Koloriang in Kurung Kumey district, followed by the flag in ceremony here on December 1.
The ITBP also aimed to inculcate social responsibility among the villagers and project its image as a ''villager-friendly force'', the sources added.
Medical camps would also be organised during the expedition in each village to imbibe hygiene and sanitation among the villagers, besides holding special lectures on AIDS by the paramedical staff to create awareness about the dreaded disease, the sources added.
