Four militants nabbed, one shot dead in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 20 (UNI) A suspected militant was today shot dead by Bishenpur police at Saiton, Bishenpur in Manipur while police and Assam Rifles (AR) personnel nabbed four militants in separate incidents.

A militant was shot dead in an encounter today and a nine mm pistol was recovered from his possession, police said.

A combined team of Imphal East Police Commandos and 32 AR apprehended two Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) cadres from the J N Hospital area in Imphal yesterday, Imphal East Superintendent of Police (SP) L Kailun said.

Another team of Imphal East Police Commandos nabbed a Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) ultra yesterday, the SP added.

Imphal West SP Clay Khongsai said Imphal West District Police Commandos apprehended a Revolutionary Peoples Front/Peoples Liberation Army (RPF/PLA) cadre yesterday.
