Five new police camps in Nandigram

Nandigram, Nov 20 (UNI) To earn confidence of the local people who were returning here after the recent violence, five new police camps were set up in Garchakraberia, Adhikarypara, Maheshpur, Takapura and Daudpur.

Mr S. S. Panda, SP, East Midnapur District said that the police camps would stay till the villagers regain confidence.

He said that the CRPF camps were not being shifted elsewhere.

Meanwhile, District Authorities held a meeting with all the ten Anchal Pradhans in Nandigram block office to begin development activities in the area afresh after a gap of 11 months, District Magistrate Anup Agarwal said.
