Farmers to resort to rail roko agitation

Tiruchirapalli, Nov 20 (UNI) Farmers of the Tiruchirapalli District will resort to a rail roko agitation here on November 27 demanding the Centre to fix Rs 1,000 as Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy.

Talking to newspersons here today, Cauvery Delta Farmers Association Secretary Dikshidar Balasubramanian urged the Tamil Nadu Government to insist the Centre to increase MSP for paddy.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at a meeting of the leaders of various farmers associations here, he said.
