Kolkata, Nov 20 (UNI) The BJP unit of West Bengal today hailed the Calcutta High Court's judgment denouncing Nandigram firing and urged the Centre to impose President's Rule in the state.

Talking to mediapersons here, party state president Sukumar Banerjee said the Left Front government had lost all 'moral' and 'constitutional' rights to remain in the saddle and appealed to the Centre to dismiss the government to safeguard the democracy.

He alleged that the violence in Nandigram was caused under Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee's instructions and that he should resign immediately.

''It was strange that no Central leaders even thought of visiting the violence-hit Nandigram area,'' he remarked.

''How can we put our confidence on the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, who feared withdrawal of support from the Left parties,'' Mr Banerjee asked.
