BJP cautions UPA on Indo-US Nuke Deal

Vijayawada, Nov 20 (UNI) Cautioning the Congress-led UPA government not to go ahead with the Indo-US nuclear deal, BJP President Rajnath Singh tonight said the deal would jeopardise the nation's sovereignty and it will lose the right to conduct nuclear tests in the future.

Addressing a public meeting here, he said the previous NDA government never compromised the nation's independent foreign policy and sovereignty.

''It was the NDA government that conducted 'Pokhran' tests in 1998 without succumbing to US pressure,'' he added.
