Earlier, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy offered to take an all-party delegation to New Delhi to press the demand while opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu demanded that all the Congress MPs and Union Ministers from the state resign and join them in an agitation in the national capital till the UPA government hiked the MSP.
Soon after the Opposition party members sought clarifications from Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy, the TDP members, holding aloft sheaves of paddy, rushed to the well of the House and stalled the proceedings. Deputy Speaker G Kuthuhalamma, initially adjourned the House for 15 minutes.
When the House reassembled, the TDP members remained in the well of the House and shouted slogans against the government for its alleged failure to convince the Centre to hike MSP for paddy.
After repeated appeals to the opposition members to resume their seats fell on deaf ears, Speaker K R Suresh Reddy announced adoption of the resolution moved by Agriculture Minister.
All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen members were on their feat, demanding a reply from the Minorities Welfare Minister Mohd Ali Shabbir for the inconclusive debate on minorities welfare.
As the agitating TDP members refused to heed to the Speaker's repeated pleas to resume their seats so that the House could continue discussion on minority welfare, the latter adjourned the House sine die.
