Air India to introduce more flights to Kozhikode
Kochi, Nov 20 (UNI) Air India, which had increased its flights on the Kerala-Gulf sector by 20 per cent in the winter schedule, will add more flights after the Haj season is over, airline CMD V Thulasidas said today.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Thulasidas said another 10 to 13 flights would be deployed between the Gulf and Kozhikode before the end of winters.
The airline's subsidiary company Air India Express operates 120 flights a week between the Gulf and Kerala, including 47 to Kozhikode.
More flights would be added on the Kozhikode sector in view of growing demand, he said.
Mr Thulasidas said airlines were not being able to land at Karipur airport near Kozhikode between 2200 hrs. and 0600 hrs. at present because of runway repair work.
