AIADMK sacks party member for anti-party activities

Chennai, Nov 20 (UNI) Rebel Congress leader K Kumaradoss, who had joined the AIADMK, was today sacked from the party for anti-party activities.

AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalithaa, in a statement here said the former legislator was expelled from the party for violating party discipline and bringing disrespect to the party.

He was expelled from the primary membership of the party and partymen should not have any connection whatsoever with Dr Kumaradoss, Ms Jayalalithaa said.

Dr Kumaradoss, hailing from Kanniyakumari district was with the Congress and joined the Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC), when late G K Moopanar launched the party after breaking away from the Congress in 1996.

After he openly campaigned against the possible merger of the party with the Congress, he was expelled from TMC, when Mr G K Vasan became the party President.

Dr Kumaradoss, later joined the AIADMK and was appointed as the Kanniyakumari district presidium chairman.
