Woman commits suicide following dowry harassment

Junagadh, Gujarat, Nov 19 (UNI) A woman committed suicide in Dudada village of Visavadar taluka in this district allegedly fed-up with persistent dowry demands from her husband and in-laws.

Rashidaben Hajivali Mohammad (35) ended her life by consuming poison, police said.

The woman's brother, Mohammad Nur Mohmmad, has lodged a complaint with the police saying his sister used to be physically and mentally tortured by the husband and in-laws over dowry demands.
