BJP's list for Gujarat assembly polls

New Delhi, Nov. 19 : The ruling BJP in Gujarat on November 18 named 74 candidates in the first list for state polls. All candidates are for 74 of 87 assembly constituencies that would poll in the first phase of elections on December 11.

There are 20 new faces from the 2002 poll list. The BJP has substantially raised the number of women contestants, giving tickets to 13 women in the first phase alone.
