UP govt directed to file counter affidavit

Allahabad, Nov 19 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh government and others to file a counter affidavit on a writ petition filed by Hazi Feroz Ahmad, father of controversial Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Atiq Ahmad, who had been declared absconder.

The order was passed by a division bench consisting of Justice Imtiyaz Murtaza and A K Singh.

Hazi had accussed the police of harassing him and his family by raiding their house at night.
