Syndicate Bank launches online loan facility

Mumbai Nov 19 (UNI) Public sector lender Syndicate Bank, for the first time, has introduced an online loan application facility for some of its loan facilities like educational, housing and professional.

This facility can be availed by clicking into the banks website 'www.syndicatebank.com', where a separate section has been incorporated under the head ''online loan''. Anyone seeking loans can fill up the prescribed form in the net and submit it. This facility is available to all.

Syndicate Bank's General Manager Subash Malhotra, here today, said ''This initiative is aimed towards ensuring hassle-free loan facility for masses where response time will be as minimal as possible.'' Through a centralised server, the bank will monitor the loan application online and will ensure that the loan is made available within 14 days after fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

Under the financial inclusion scheme, the bank has implemented a service of opening accounts by mobile van in rural areas.

The total global business of the bank till date is Rs 1,37,333 crore comprising a customer base of 19 million. The bank has a network of 2,136 branches spread across 29 states.
