Seven fishermen from AP village missing

Visakhapatnam, Nov19 (UNI) Seven fishermen from Mangamaripeta in Bheemunipatnam mandal of this district, who ventured into the sea in their mechanised boat on November 15 were missing, Coast Guard DIG G P Raju said today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the boat drifted 15 miles off the West Bengal coast after it was hit by tidal waves due to the super cyclone 'Sidr.

Search operations undertaken by the Coast Guard ship Sarojini Naidu from Paradeep port and a Dornier aircraft from here for two days was called off yesterday as the fishermen could not be traced, he added.
