Probe report on attack on TNCC Prez submitted

Chennai, Nov 19 (UNI) Senior IAS officer M H Farooqui, who enquired into the stabbing of TNCC President M Krishnasamy at Mudhukalathur in Ramanathapuram district on October 30, today submitted his report to the government.

Mr Farooqui, who completed the enquiry after visiting the Keezhmanicherry, the village near Mudhkalathur where the Congress leader was stabbed by an armed gang, presented the report to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the secretariat.

Mr Krishnasamy was stabbed in his stomach by an unidentified gang, when he was on his way to attend a party function, organised in connection with the birth anniversary of Thevar leader and freedom fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar.

The Congress leader, who recovered from the stab injury, visited Sathyamurthy Bhavan, the party headquarters this morning and paid floral tributes to late Prime Miniser Indira Gandhi on the occasion of her 90th birth anniversary.
